The X-Files reminds me of a Stephen King book. Taken as a whole it is amazing up until the last 100 pages where the ending ruins the entire thing.

I personally didn't mind the last few seasons.

The show was definitely getting stale, so I thought it was a nice changeup.

Either way, the late night syndication on TNT and Sci-Fi all those years made me appreciate the final seasons all the more.

Watching the 2nd movie, great PQ, and it's a little more entertaining than the first movie.

I wish Dogget & Reyes were in this though.

Movie was meh.

Overall the series is okay. Like I said I liked Season 1 and 7 the best but shit just dragged on and I was left with an entire mind ****,.

Now to finish the classic Battlestar Galactica and start on Andromeda.

I'm planning on watching the entire series this summer. My favorite episode of the ones I've seen is 'Home'.

It's amazing how many shows have ripped off the X-Files since it aired. While it never did brilliant in the ratings, apparently every single person watching was a future showrunner or network executive.

I loved Season 1 and Season 7 the most. I thought Dogget & Reyes saved the series as well.

"Paper Hearts" and the ep where Dogget finally let's his son go (in season 9) were my 2 fave eps of the series without a doubt.
yeah there were some good episodes but, in the end it had about as many answers as Lost, the "conspiracy" was similar in how it kept you interested but they never gave you a satisfying resolution

For a Fox show, it did brilliant in the ratings. It wasn't a cult show, it was a mainstream hit. The fifth season even premiered with nearly 30 million viewers, if I'm remembering correctly. Even the final season had more average viewers than most of the stuff currently on the big networks.

It got huge numbers for Fox but Fox was always a distant fourth in ratings to the other networks during the '90s.

It was one of the last shows to be successful on Friday nights.
