Yep, they've got great chemistry that carries the whole movie. I could've done without the gangbangers holding their AKs in one hand and their Canon camcorders in the other during the climactic shootout, because I stopped caring about the technicalities of the 'found footage' gimmick after about 5 minutes. It just seemed too self-conscious to pay attention to it at that stage, because all I gave a damn about was whether Taylor and Zavala were gonna make it out alive.

Good movie overall. I wasn't blown away (sorry couldn't resist) by it like some people were.
I did think the final act was very intense and realistic. I imagine that would be any LAPD cops worse nightmare scenario, being stuck in some dark alley in South Central with no back up or radio contact and clueless as to where your are.
The "D" is silent, hillbilly.

I ordered this movie on Amazon and it came in today. I noticed that's the CND version has DolbyTrueHD, and the US version has DTS HD MASTER AUDIO. I wonder why they used 2 different sound track for US and CND?
Well if anyone orders the CND version, just remember your not going to be getting DTS HD MASTER AUDIO!!! Thanks blurayjunkie

I finally had a chance to watch End Of Watch last night and I must say it was a great cop vs. gang movie. The cholos and cholas made me feel like I was really in South Central. LOL!! Especially LaLa aka Yahira 'Flakiss' Garcia. She did an awesome job as playing her role as LaLa. The rest of the cast did a great job too. I would give it a 7/10.
And this song from the movie brought back great memories of the 80's Last edited by hidef al; 05-05-2013 at 05:43 PM. |
