Iguana (1988) will be released by RARO - July 2014

Quote:
In the 19th century, a bizarrely disfigured harpooner named Iguana Oberlus (Everett McGill), suffers abuse from peer sailors on board of a whaling vessel. One night he escapes and continues to live on a remote island of the Galápagos Islands. There, he proclaims himself the ruler of the island and declares war on humanity. Anyone who happens to find himself on the island faces the cruel tyranny of Iguana. He enslaves shipwrecked sailors, and Carmen (Maru Valdivielso) is forced to become his mistress.

Iguana Blu-ray

NEWS/CLIP
http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=13813

Quote:
Independent distributors Raro Video U.S. have confirmed that they are working on a Blu-ray release of maverick director Monte Hellman's (Two-Lane Blacktop The Shooting) cult film Iguana (1988). The release is expected to arrive on the U.S. market later this year.

Synopsis: Everett McGill (Twin Peaks) stars as the 19th Century sailor whose bizarre facial deformity earns him the name Iguana. Beaten and tortured by his shipmates, he escapes to a deserted island where he declares war on all of mankind. Soon, a group of shipwrecked sailors and one kidnapped young maiden are made prisoners of Iguana's brutal slave empire. In a kingdom ruled by savagery and lust, can these survivors face the greatest evil of all? Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs) and Fabio Testi (What Have You Done to Solange?) co-star in this rarely-seen and disturbing drama directed and co-written by acclaimed cult filmmaker Monte Hellman.
