Seriously... I absolutely hate Disney cartoon characters. Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofey etc. they all leave me cold. If you want a decent cartoon charachter you have to pop down the road in the direction of Warner Bros. (or MGM).

I agree with this. Warner is probably the only one who out-did Disney in the theatrical shorts department. Still...I like the Disney stuff. Weak stories but well animated.

was never i Disney guy it was WB cartoon re-runs or Nickolodeon (i know i spelled it wrong

Much like what happened to 'Marvin the Martian', this is just test footage from what the film might have been. It's since been halted. I think when WB changed studio heads, a lot of these films went away with it. Maybe for the better...

So let me get this straight, the jokes in that trailer where:

He hits himself in the balls with Numchucks (NEVER SEEN THAT ONE BEFORE!!!!11 LOLZ)
He drinks out of a toilet (Again ORIGINAL)
He then drinks out a urinal
He then eats a urinal cleaner
And the cat rolls it's eyes a lot

Truly this is going to be a film ahead of it's time. Move over Garfield, it looks like we've got a new greatest film ever about to hit the big screen!

EDIT: Oh it's never going to get made, WHAT A SHAME!!!!

Like walt said below this is not the trailer for EITHER movie, it is merely test footage. further more that is not actually Eddie Murphy voicing Phooey, it is Mark Moseley,the same voice over actor who took over for eddie voicing Mushu for Mulan II and was voiced Donkey in the Shrek video games.
he does a great job mimicking Eddie, but there are little tells in the voice that you can hear while he is speaking and realize its Mark and not Eddie.

and a little trivia Eddie and Mark are close friends also
