My understanding was that the disc problem was only in Canada, in copies that came in one of Warner's anniversary slips.

Okay, cool. Will order it eventually then.

New movie coming...

Also...
I'd love if they could at least give us an answer to the Second TV Show Season/Series Finale'!

I wonder if they'll make a true sequel or just a reboot. I'd be fine with Tommy Lee Jones' character tracking down another fugitive. Although, I suppose that would technically make it a US Marshals sequel.

Heh. I always liked the notion of the Jones' crew carrying on in the sequels as opposed to their quarry. Even if the execution wasn't as first rate as the concept, I still enjoy(ed) US Marshals.

The problem with US Marshals is that it's TOO close to The Fugitive (and about 30+ mins too long).

I actually just ordered the 20th Anniversary Edition from amazon and got the 2006 edition (black label) with a sticker over the bar code that read: "20th Anniversary Edition." I contacted amazon and was told it was an error and that I should re-order. I did and got the same 2006 packaged disc with the sticker over the bar code. Returned it, and will look to purchase elsewhere. The sale price was enticing, but the deal was too good to be true.

Not sure if you made this clear, but did you open it to verify what disc was inside? Also, was this sold by Amazon, or just fulfilled by them (but sold by a third party)

I believe Target now has this in it's $7.50 section, my only hesitation is that I've bought this movie like four times now...

I did not open the case. I wanted the whole deal (the latest version of the blu ray and the newer packaging), so the item went back. When I contacted amazon, they told me to place a re-order and be sure it was sold by or fulfilled by amazon to get the correct item. I guess if they are supplying and shipping the item, it doesn't matter who the seller is. For the two orders I placed, the item was fulfilled by amazon both times.

I guess it is possible Warner Bros could be putting the new disc in the old packaging, but that does not really make any sense. The new disc packaging mentions the remastering and the 2 new special features on the disc. Why put the new disc inside the old package that doesn't point out these improvements to the earlier version?

If it's fulfilled by Amazon then the seller provides the copies and ships them to Amazon. Amazon just warehouses those copies and ships them out when they are sold.

I wonder if WB has discontinued the new packaging/cover and has gone back to the old cover. The WBShop.com site only shows the old packaging.
