Default Hollow - 2/19/13 Horror Film

Anyone heard of this film??

http://www.smartcine.com/2013/blu_ra...ay_review.html

Saw it at best buy today for $14.99 but never saw it in the bluray.com database. Any thoughts?

I've generally found that, with many new horror movies, the probability that I will enjoy the film is inversely proportional to how much I like the cover art. Unfortunately, I really like the cover art for this one.

This movie did get a favorable review of sorts on Harry's DVD Picks & Peeks today, but even he acknowledges that the movie has received a lot of bad press.

I'm going to steer clear of this one. Whenever I have that emptiness that can only be filled by watching an evil sociopathic tree try to kill a human, I simply revisit the first Poltergeist movie.

I usually reach for Evil Dead, esp. when I need a rapist tree, and you wouldn't believe how often I need that. When I need a killer tree I have acid flashbacks to when the trees were trying to kill me.

So agree with the first paragraph. I saw Lake Placid: The Final Chapter dvd at Target yesterday and the cover looked fun again, but all the sequels have sucked on biblical levels so I just laughed and ignored it. I'll wait for library or cable, I ****ed up and blind bought LP3 which was a loss even at the 2 bucks I paid.

Was tempted to blind buy this too. But a quick look at RT dissuaded me. This found footage trend has to end.

It's pretty bad, buncha people running around the English countryside in the dark with flashlights. Only thing it has going for it is the creepy locations, i.e., the monastery ruins and the tree which is one of the oldest in Britain.

+1 on this request. I own the movie as well and would like to add it to the database?

Update for other users: "Hollow" is listed in the database as a Canadian release. You should be able to add it to your collection if you do an "All Countries" search. I'm not sure if there is only one version for this release or if there are now multiple versions that haven't been added to the database. The cover art for the Canadian version does match the one currently being sold at Best Buy stores.

Anyone can add a movie to the DB. Just click on any existing BD movie to add a blu-ray, or dvd movie to add a dvd. When you are on the movie's page, scroll down just a little and you'll see "Add Movie", click on that and it will take you to the page where you can enter all the data for said release.
After you're done, just hit submit and the Admins will approve it and you'll receive credit for all your accepted submissions.
