Rising black levels with 2012 Panasonic plasmas

Anything on this? Has anyone experienced this or have all you owners see the same black levels? I'm shit scared to buy a new panny plasma after my vt25 rised within the first 300 hours id be shit pissed if it happened to me again this year I'd curse Panasonic soo hard

My blacks are still the same,no issues here.
I highly recommend the model that I have but then I'm biased.

The issue was pretty much taken care of with the 2011 30 series. I've got close to 2000 hours on my 65ST30 and there is no change. The MLL (depending on the meter used) is around .004 -.0056.

I swear I thought the st30 series had higher mll. Not trying to knock your meter or anything I just didn't know that panel could go down that low! That's as low as the vt30!

I'm very interested in the vt50 series! If the levels say the same and there are no problems With this series overtime I will forgive Panasonic for vt25 plasma and buy this one!

Hey so mr.terry how do you find the pq on the vt50 series? Blacks deep and inky? Colors pop? Does the lourve filter block ambient light in day time conditions? Like do they blacks still stay black with the lights on? What about image retention? Buzzing? Is it loud? How much of the problems did they fix?

I love my VT50 and would recommend it wholeheartedly.
I'm still getting used to the overall look compared with my retired Kuro, but overall it's really the only set worth getting imo.
it is so incredible how cheap it is compared with inferior models from Sony and Samsung. I mean I have seen prices thousands of dollars more for displays from those companies that are not considered as good as the VT50.
So imo it is a total slam dunk easiest decision ever.

Have a ISF certified calibrator to calibrate your tv which should fix it.

The 65" panels all have about the same MLL. This is well known. The smaller models definitely don't get as dark.

It wasn't my meter - it was one of the top calibrators in the country who measured it.

Thinking about this one (65"), as a replacement for my 60" Sony XBR2 whose optical block finally seems to be going. I think I find buzzing more annoying that fans... Any noise of any kind from these sets? I'm at about 6600 ft altitude, in a very quiet neighborhood, I know plasmas are a bit less happy at higher altitudes, but is this a non-issue with the Pannys (noises of whatever kind) ?
