Dial M isn't in the masterpiece collection, and Psycho is another besides NbNW that was released separately already. The Birds, and Rear Window are being released separately in May in the UK, and I imagine others like Vertigo, and The Man who Knew Too Much will get that treatment too.

Going to try and rent Hitchcock this weekend. Been looking forward to seeing this one after missing it at the theater.

Finished this up a couple of hours ago. Have to say I really enjoyed it even though a good portion of it is fictional. It's the sets, costumes, and performances that make this film worth watching and what a terrific viewing it is. Throw accuracy out of the window and it's a terrific time.

Just got done with my rental of this and I thought it was great. Hopkins and Mirren really nailed their roles. It was a good 90 minute dramatic piece with some excellent acting and a clever script.

I liked it so much that I bought it the next day after watching it. Hopkins is pure gold in this film.

Don't know if this is breaking news or not, I am super excited! Amazon has 10 Hitchcock titles for pre-order on blu-ray. They even have really cool retro covers!
If you ask me to pay you via Paypal Friends/Family and you ain't my friend or my family then expect to be ignored, IT'S AGAINST SITE POLICY!

Wow, really? It felt like a half-baked "biography" to me. It barely touched in who Hitchcock was as a person, and really wasn't really about the making of Psycho, either. Just a gloss-the surface, let's-tell-everything-we already-know-about-Hitchcock-without-actually-digging-deeper-into-who-he-really-was type of thing. All surface and no substance, with a hammy Hopkins not really doing a convincing job. Having read the book on which it was based, as well as two other Hitchcock biographies, there's a great story in there somewhere, they just failed to find it.

I liked the movie, especially the sets and how they recreated an earlier era. Lots of cool scenes with film and projection.
Overall the cast was great and the pacing was good. I must say that Anthony Hopkins was kind of overacting a bit, in fact, I thought he was terrible. The blu ray look good and sound was fine as well. I was a little shocked to fined that the movie was a digital movie and not a 35mm production. The score was also a pleasant surprise.

Should I pick up Hitchcock or Life of Pi? The latter annoys me, but it's got great resale value. I only want it for the coupon. I wanted to see Hitchcock in theaters, but it wasn't real Academy bait.

I know. There's no rule saying I can't post this in another thread dealing with a Blu-ray I mention in the question.
