I will let you know as soon as I have a clearer idea of what's going on. Hopefully, everyone will do what they are supposed to do and I can take my day off!

Have you informed E about your possible visit to the Delaware Valley?! I really hope we are all able to meet.

The speakers are going to happen, that's a fact. The projector purchase has given me a moment of pause. I know that out of the three I'm interested in, the Epson 5030 is the best performer. It's the one that can overcome the most difficult environments when it comes to controlled lighting or lack thereof. The Panny is a jack of all trades, not excellent at anything but good at everything. The Sony fits the wallet just right, but the compromise in that is the overall performance and how it goes about achieving it's strong black levels. I don't know. What I do know is that on the week of Christmas, one of them will be sitting on a shelf on my rear wall.

By the way, the doghouse is nicely furnished with a pretty nice mattress set, a 50" flat panel, soundbar and a recliner. If that becomes my fate, hey, I'll live.
I would say get the Epson. But I'm a bit biased because I've owned 3 so far. If you have ambient light in your room or watch movies/tv with the lights on or slightly on. I would say the epson is the way to go. In the morning the amount of light that I get in my room is tremendous. Thankfully the amount of lumens my pj pumps makes it possible to still enjoy it in the day time. Also, you don't loose much brightness after the bulb starts getting old. Even on dynamic mode. My previous Epsons were a pain to watch after the bulb was close to its end. Now they have corrected that problem.

I don't know about going the Epson route ............

Saying that you've already owned three doesn't bode well for their longevity or durability

I loaned it to some crazy guy in Brooklyn. He's using it to fly in plumbing parts.
