If Anime had never been translated than I wouldn't know what it was to this day, except for all the negative ( making fun of you people )
Anime Fan stuff you hear about.

I have no vested interest in any original names or meaning behind anything Japaneses.
I could care less about the makers original intent, etc.

If it's in English and think I might like it, I'll get it.

I (imo) don't think subbed anime will ever be mainstream, only English dubbing it will bring it to the mainstream,
or as close to it as it'll ever get.

Just my opinion off the top of my head of course!
Very well said. I'll take dubs over subs any day of the week myself, especially if an anime has comedy. I don't find things funny in subs. I also won't buy a title if it has no dub. At the end of the day though if a title has both options then it can be enjoyed by people of both preference.

Oh man, I hope that Yamato 2199 release means 2202 is around the corner. I have the Japanese BDs of 2199 but no subs on 2202 meant waiting...

BWBODDY's response was well thought out and worded (though I disagree), so points on both sides have been made.

Every time this is brought up someone gets sad or offended, and I don't want to do that, so I'm gonna stop.
And this time given the response seems like it was your turn Professor!
( So it's all your fault )

I wasn't sad or offended, it's just after my ( what was a ) funny dig at GWG, you made it kind of serious Post
and I felt it was kind of in response to me, so I thought it was up to me to respond.

But no harm no fowl, I still love'ya, and it's all's good man!

Amen, amen I say to thee. Truer words were never spoken. Unlike most of the "sub only elitists" here who look down their noses at dub lovers and want their shitty white subtitles. You know who you are.

Every time I see your avatar I'm reminded of how badly I want Dirty Pair on Blu-ray. Nozomi has slowly been releasing their back catalog on Blu-ray so maybe there's a chance(?).

I'd like nothing better than that myself. I have a feeling if it ever happens it'll be a kickstarter project like Aria.

Are you talking about the series, if so if it gets a dub ( ) I'll be all in on it, and I soooo wish they would!

2202 is getting simuldubbed by Funi so it will probably end up getting uploaded to CR too and also get a BD release later down the line.

Good. The JP BDs don’t have subtitles, unlike 2199 so there’s a reason to pick up FUNi’s release.
Retro always wins!

Yamato...Star Blazers...
Macross...Robotech....

Couldn’t possibly care less about the title used. Just give me the material!
Will definitely be supporting this release in the hopes of more stateside offerings.
