Default Is Blu-Ray sales going to lose this past week?

I was just over at DVD Empire, and I noticed this

http://www.dvdempire.com/index.asp?u...ite_media_id=0

Week: BR - 27.27%; HD-DVD - 72.73%

Did everyone stop buying Blu-Ray after the BOGO??

seriously we need an ongoin dvdempire thread. every single week, hd dvd takes this massive lead at dvdempire.com then by friday they have lost again decisvely. every week we get a thread on this. wait til spiderman has a day of sales, if we are still behind by more than a point or two then worry.

Sorry I'm pretty new to the boards, I didn't realize that there was this trend. My apologies.

While I dont think much of dvdempires numbers, I do agree that chances are this week will be low, but also I dont think Transformers residual sales will be that big either. Its a tough call.

I would not be too worried and if we lost one week that would not make much of a difference being that we have won every week thus far. Spiderman will keep us on top this week and then we have our Disney/Pixar films next week. We have tons of exclusives this month.

DVD empire is not a high volume store.. it does not have numbers anywhere near Amazon for instance.
If you want a better estimate, take a look at http://www.eproductwars.com/dvd This shows the sales of amazon BD and HD-DVD.
Either way, if they get 1 week after 10 months of us being in the lead, I don't think it is going to hurt. Wait till the end of the year and tell me we are behind.

No apology needed. Blu-ray supporters are golden. You had a good observation, but as stated before there is a weird trend of HD-DVD taking an early leading only to end the week with a whimper.
