Epson 5010e 3D Projector - Blu-ray Forum

I'm looking to upgrade to a 3D Projector and saw an Epson 5010e Projector on sale for $1599.99 and was wondering if this is a good deal or is there a newer model that's replacing this? Also was wondering if anyone has experience with this projector. I wanted to know what 3d glasses would work this projector as I was thinking of getting a few glasses as well if/when I decide to get it.

Where is it for $1599.99, that's over $1000 cheaper than anywhere I have seen.

But as for the projector itself, I have the regular 5010 and it is amazing. Absolutely stunning! As for glasses there are the Epson ones, and Panasonic ones work as well.
I also have the MonsterVision Max 3D glasses that use RF, and they work as well.

I have the 6010 which basically is the same thing. I love it and highly recommend it. And I'd also like to know who's selling this at that price. That's sounds awfully skeptical. As for glasses, see post below yours or above mine

Im interested also in ordering the Epson 5010, so for that price Ill order one. Where did you see that price??????

I think he's mistaken the 3010e...If that's the price of a 5010e from a place that's that's known, and not a hole in the wall, I'll buy 2...

The cheapest I've seen the 5010e was $2699 CND.

As far as how it preforms, I've had the chance to demo the 5010 and the 3D was some of the best and brightest I've seen from any projector (under $10K). The 2D was really good as well. I'm not a usual big fan of LCD type projector, but this one really surprised of the PQ that it produces.

Thanks everyone for helping to make my decision in buying easier. It was a close out price I was fortunate to find at Nebraska Furniture Mart. They may have some left...still sealed and brand new too so that's why I asked. It was originally closed out at $2499 then $1899 but was surprised when checking out it came to $1599. Strangely They are still selling the 5010 for $2699.

I purchased my 5010 from BrandsMart in Atlanta. $2,199 and came with two pair of glasses.
Every time I watch a movie from that projector I'm amazed at how bright the picture is and on 3D it's unbeatable in it's price range.
