I just now noticed this. I wonder why they didn't release the trilogy first, with the remastered original, like they did with Rocky. At any rate, even if they do remaster the other two, I can't see the point of buying the trilogy again, especially since I already have the remastered original. However, depending on whether or not there are some good new special features, if Fox Connect has another one of those 50% off sales, then I may be so tempted!

Just two different stratagies to the same end... 1) Release the sought-after remaster but only in the box set, keeping the old box set around, building up demand for the individual release, or 2) Release the sought-after remaster but only individually, pulling the old box set from print, building up demand for the sequels.

Either way: some sales now, some later.

Arghhh!! I seriously hate when studios do this! I bought the remastered robocop when it came with $7.50 movie money for the new one that was out back in February. But since this new box set as the new remastered robocop I guess I'm going to have to get it. Don't own 2 & 3.

I have never seen Robocop 3, and i wonder if I should get this new trilogy set with the remastered Robocop.
I see people all over the place say it's bad. Is it that bad?

I happen to love some "bad" 80s and 90s films.

I like RoboCop 3 better than RoboCop 2, myself. Though, part of that may be due to the fact that RoboCop 3 doesn't have Hob in it.
