Ghost Town for any one looking for a 80's b-movie that's different than anything else.

Children Who Chase Lost Voices

Together with Shinkai's other movie, 5 Centimeters per Second, a must see if you like (Japanese) Animation. Also a great watch if you don't like animation as the story and the craft that is in this movie is really great. Audio/Visually also stunning with the most eleborate lichting schemes i ever saw in animated movie.

As far as I can tell, only a small amount of people have seen After Hours(1985). It's actually one of Scorsese's best imo, and is hilarious, unsettling, and exhausting.

Also, best of lucking finding this one, but I recently saw The Tribe(2014). This is one of the best movies I've ever seen and is simply impossible to shake.

The Tribe sounds really interesting. For horror fans Found (2012) might be worth checking out, made on a shoestring budget it's a two brothers coming of age story, also balls to the wall horror and some seriously messed up stuff ahead, be aware.

Uncut releases: Media-Book (Blu+DVD) from Austria (103min) or US_DVD from Xlrator, else releases so far cut by ~4min

Found was okay, nothing great. Haven't seen Headless yet which was the main reason I wanted to see Found in the first place.

Hard to expect sth. really great from a $8000 budget I thought , I'd give it a 3,5/5 and really like to see what they can do with some money at hand!

Headless nothing great either, well worth a watch for fans though.

Wyrmwood, pretty decent little aussie zombie film. Unconventional and fun times. Also, What we do in the shadows was New Zealand's finest vampire mockumentary!

I wasn't expecting much from a straight-to-video animated movie based on the Turok comics, but I ended up loving it. It's violent as hell and clearly made with adults in mind, and the cast is nice, with Adam Beach as Turok and Robert Knepper as the villain. It's also accessible for people who have never read the comics and only heard of the character from the video games. New copies of the DVD sell for dirt cheap online.

Quote:
Based on the true life experiences of poet Jimmy Santiago Baca, the film focuses on half-brothers Paco and Cruz, and their bi-racial cousin Miklo. It opens in 1972, as the three are members of an East L.A. gang known as the "Vatos Locos", and the story focuses on how a violent crime and the influence of narcotics alter their lives. Miklo is incarcerated and sent to San Quentin, where he makes a "home" for himself. Cruz becomes an exceptional artist, but a heroin addiction overcomes him with tragic results. Paco becomes a cop and an enemy to his "carnal", Miklo.
It's a long film, clocking in at just over 3 hours. But the time flies by. There are a ton of well known actors in it too: Benjamin Bratt, Delroy Lindo, Ving Rhames, Billy Bob Thorton, Danny Trejo, and lot's of other familiar faces. Great film!
