If this movie franchise makes a lot of money that affects my happiness a lot. Awesome for the producers of this film as well I guess.
Home Theater Setup: Blu-ray player and a TV.

Not really - just hints at Bebop and Rocksteady appearing.

Saw it in Lie max on friday and it was amazing. I wish the movie got a full imax release. I hope the next one does. The action scenes were pretty mindblowing on imax, especially the skyscraper fight. The sound made my seat shake several times.

The movie had only a 26% drop this weekend and its up to $181M. Should make $190-$195M.

I'm going this week for an IMAX showing. Glad to hear it was so good.

Caught the IMAX showing last night. That was great - really wish it would have gotten an IMAX release from the get go! Would have been ideal to see it for the first time that way.

I heard that this movie is primarily focused on long time fans who grew up with the Turtles in the 90's, is that true? I figured that since that they had made another Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie that it would be focused more towards the newer generation who are just getting interested in the franchise like they did with TMNT (2007).

You heard wrong. Other than a few homages to the classic toon... and really all eras of Turtles there's very little in the way that is aimed at the classic fans. It's pretty much just like Transformers. TMNT for the A.D.D. Generation. No character development for anyone really. Most of the Focus on April. A weak script with tons of plot holes and poor logic. The new cartoon on Nick shows more love to the old school fans than the movie does. And TMNT (2007) wasn't really aimed at the newer generation either.
Bat-Mite: "Batman's rich history allows him to be interpreted in a multitude of ways. To be sure, this is a lighter incarnation, but is certainly no less valid and true to the character's roots then the tortured avenger, crying out for mommy and daddy."

Batman: The Brave & The Bold - Legend of the Dark Mite.

well what to say?. there was an effort to create an involving story, but it is so telegraphed and un inspired that it comes off as very basic paint by numbers and for the first hour the film may trickle @ 2.5 marks.

I did not enjoy Megan Fox or her dynamic in the story, partially because I have memories of how April O'Neill was to me in my formative years, and certainly prefer Judith Hoag from the 1990 movie - and I consider this movie superior over all..

on the positive side

The turtles themselves I have no shame in admitting were pretty damned cool.
The sense of humour and partiality to Pizza had me walking down memory lane, also the action is incredible, it makes you forget the unnecessary exposition planted in the first hour. and I was frustrated because it told me, all that was not necessary. but as it winds down we are reminded of the A to Z of action movie tropes. Owell.

Raphael was my favourite, incredible voice!

2.75/5 enjoyable but bad!
"I don't always herdy dur mur flerpty floopin...

But when I do, I yer der schmer dor her der foomty, der shoopin flerpty dur"
