Just an odd thing I noticed... it seems the US Final Cut disc is a BD25 but the local one is a BD50.. Is anyone able to provide a specs scan from the local disc to confirm the video encode bitrate and overall ISO size?

Overall ISO size for the AU version is 26gb, whereas my US digibook is 21gb, you might be onto something.

It may take up more space due to possibly extra audio tracks. This has happened with some other releases

I did take that into account but looks like the local one only has three extra Dolby Digital dubs compared to the U.S., which surely wouldn't take up an extra 5GB.

Hmm, looks like the video encode is identical (no surprise there).. I guess all that extra audio must account for the difference after all.

Any kiwis seen any NZ listings for the 4K release? I don't want to wait 20 days to get it from Aussie..

Very tempted to spend the big bucks and get priority shipping from the US if we are not getting it the same time.
4K UHD Wishlist: The Great Escape, The Good the Bad and The Ugly, Planet of the Apes, Near Dark, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Zombie, Lord of the Rings

My review copy of the Australian Blade Runner 4K release arrived today and it's a mix of good and bad news.

The good: The rave reviews from overseas weren't wrong - it's an absolutely stunning 4K presentation. The HDR is amazing and holy crap do those model shots of the Tyrell Building look sublime.

The bad: The 4K disc is accompanied by the 1080p Final Cut Blu-ray, as well as 'Dangerous Days' on a DVD disc - as per the 25th anniversary release. This means that the 4K release is missing the additional cuts, as well as many of the featurettes and deleted scenes from the 25th/30th anniversary edition that feature on the new U.S. 4K release. However, there is a slight silver lining in that the SD PAL presentation of 'Dangerous Days' is the highest quality presentation we're probably going to ever get (despite PAL speedup).

Finally, Roadshow managed to screw up the packaging, similar to the local release of Ninja Turtles: Out of the Sewers 4K. The slick has been designed for a thin, U.S. style case, but has been stuck in a standard AUS style case. Anal collectors will be annoyed by the gaps on either side of the spine that are visible.

Usually Mighty Ape's release schedule is pretty good to go by and it's not on there. Messaged Roadshow NZ to see if there's a chance but doubt I'll get a reply

What special features does our 4k edition of Blade Runner lack that the UK collectors edition contain? Not interested in the alternate cuts

Outside of commentaries and the 3 hour documentary, everything.
True Lies still isn't on blu-ray.

But according to JB's website it contains everything but the "all our variant futures" documentary -https://www.jbhifi.com.au/movies-tv-shows/movies-tv-shows-on-sale/sci-fi/blade-runner/460185/. Is someone else able to confirm?

Yep, I'm one of those anal collectors, but have gotten used to this happening.
