As Wake in Fright is due a UK release at the end of the month, I did a little further reading into the Aussie New Wave films, and this was one of the one's which drew interest (the other being Roadgames - I've already seen all the Peter Weir films). Great news and will certainly be ordering!

It is the look of this film that has me excited to see this on BD, well besides being a fan of it.
Dean Semler's cinematography is very muscular in its visual style with a very lurid colour scheme, I can't wait! I just hope they do not screw the transfer over with DNR as the film is filled with a lot of optical transistions.

Ask them: https://www.facebook.com/UmbrellaEnt

They've always been more than willing to answer any of my questions about releases.

The sound should be a huge improvement considering their DVD release contained a 5.1 track that was overly compressed at 256kbps!

Just released information about the Special Features on Facebook

- JAWS ON TROTTERS: featuring interviews with director Russell Mulcahy (Highlander), producer Hal McElroy, Razorback creator Bob McCarron, composer Iva Davies and cast Judy Morris and Chris Haywood
- Audio interview with actor Gregory Harrison
- Grisly deleted scenes
- Interviews with cast and crew by Mark Hartley for "Not Quite Hollywood"
- NEW stills and poster gallery
The best kind of comedy to me is when you make people laugh at things they've never laughed at, and also take a light into the darkened corners of people's minds, exposing them to the light.

But more importantly.......

We have partnered with*NFSA,*‪#‎DDP‬*studios and*‪#‎Promoscape‬*to produce a high quality‪#‎HD‬*transfer this film definitely deserves. The team has worked exceptionally hard to bring to you a brand new, scene-by-scene colour graded and amazingly de-spotted master

So... one new special feature, which is just a clip from a docco of it's own about Aussie films (which is in full on YouTube).. as all the ones in bold were on the Collectors Edition DVD.
