Australia The Fate of the Furious - 2nd of August, 2017.

It's only been in cinemas a week, but JB Hi-Fi have already listed the Blu-ray release date as the 2nd of August, 2017. Not even four months away.

Standard Blu-ray: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/movies-tv-...us-the/350493/

4K Blu-ray: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/movies-tv-...us-the/350501/

I think that's around the time these have released on Blu in the past. April seems to be the cinema month of choice for these films.

Yeah I'm seconding what Suntory Times already posted. I thought this movie was released theatrically in 3D in Australia.
"Still in all, every night we does the tell, so that we 'member who we was and where we came from... but most of all we 'members the man that finded us, him that came the salvage. And we lights the city, not just for him, but for all of them that are still out there. 'Cause we knows there come a night, when they sees the distant light, and they'll be comin' home."

It's Universal so the bonus disc will be a DVD (Even though it's never included with DVD versions which boggles my mind). Wonder if the AU version will include a code for the 'digital exclusive' extended cut bollocks?

Regular covers -

Have added them to the database.

Also not sure if you only get a code for the extended edition with the 4K set or not :/

On Flixster Video, there is both the theatrical cut and the extended cut, listed separately. So the Blu-ray will have to contain codes for both. Shame the extended edition isn't making its way to disc, but then again it doesn't sound like the extended cut is anything too exciting.

Both the 4K release and the standard BD have DTS:X and DTS:X Headphones.

The extended cut is only on digital. You get a code for both theatrical and extended editions. Pretty useless, I won't even be able to watch the extended cut on my TV. Guess I'll never be watching it.

I bought the bonus disc edition. Any questions, fire away.

I only saw and got the standard 4K release, noticed no Dolby Vision logo or Dolby Vision listed on the back cover, is the bonus disc release the same?

Yup, it's the same. Of course this doesn't inherently mean it's not Dolby Vision, but we won't know until someone DV-compatible tests the disc. My LG UP970 is due for the firmware update in August so I'll report back.

Hey folks, the LG player finally got the Dolby Vision update and I can confirm that the local 4K disc is indeed DV, despite no logos of any sort. So buy with confidence...if this movie is your thing.

Does anyone know what platform the digital copy is on? I take it not one of the nice rare ones that has an iTunes code but is that god awful ultraviolet?

That's interesting, I haven't opened mine as I am not sure I'll keep it, I might list it on ebay. That would be my only DV movie but for the moment I can't play DV anyway.
