Do you think we are likely to get a steelbook release here? I am assuming so as we did for Prometheus...
I like the look of the HMV exclusive 4K steelbook release in UK, but I don't have any way of ordering it as they don't ship to Aus...

Actually you are right we just got a metalbox jb exclusive. I also got steelbook from UK.
Hmmm so wonder if there will be another steelbook in UK other than the exclusive one through HMV which I can't order...

Decided to skip this one at the movies, so I'll grab whichever version is either the nicest or the cheapest. Going to the cinema these days is such a ripoff and a hassle that I only bother with M-rated blockbusters that my godson can watch.

Glad to see the price has dropped a bit on the pre-order for this one. Pre-ordered in store a few weeks back, looking forward to this release, I still haven't even watched the movie yet, looks like I'm not going to make it to the cinemas so will wait for this release to watch.
Have the zavvi exclusive 6 movie release steelbook on order also.

lol, ultra hd premium when the film has a 2k DI.

Really ugly cover that doesn't really suite the film, one may even call it misleading as the films is much more a prometheus 2 then it is an alien film. I was kind of hoping for an extended release at home.
Display: Panasonic 65vt60 with a darbee darblet, Benq w7000.
Audio: Benchmark Dac1 ->DNA Sonett -> Sennheiser HD800 (balanced).

Like Prometheus, this would really benefit from having the marketing materials actually put back into the film properly, but once again we have to wait for the fanedits. I'm also really concerned that this might be the first Alien not to get an extensive 2+ hour making of.

I'd prefer that as well. I actually like the shoot the actual cover is from and how it builds to that moment, I just don't find it representative of the film. The neomorphs had just as much screen time if not more then the alien.

Personally I would have preferred if the alien was replaced with just the neomorphs and they had just called this Prometheus 2 or similar. The alien just isn't scary anymore, the neomorphs on the other hand had me on the edge of my seat.

I notice that Target in the USA have a book as a bonus. Any news of any Aussie retailers offering this?

Have they retracted this? It doesn't seem to specify exclusive art anymore? That'll be a shame as I really want that image as the cover art, but JB is also $10 cheaper so it's not a total loss.

I briefly spoke with Sanity customer service a short while ago, after seeing your post. They are not sure why the listing on their website changed, their exclusive version hasn't been retracted, they will fix the listing shortly.
