Perhaps he means that when you watch them, you're stunned that Universal allowed such flawed transfers to be released.

I also wish THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH would get remastered, ideally from VistaVision elements. It's my favorite Hitchcock film and the BD is nowhere near as good as that title could look.

However that raises a question - what elements, exactly, does Universal have for the titles that were shot for and released by Paramount originally?

Has there been any rumor of Alfred Hitchcock Presents hitting blu-ray?

Here we go again, indeed. While there are certain parts of Family Plot that look okay (at best), much of it looks worse than many DVD's that I own. Which is plain unacceptable. And the DNR smearing on Frenzy is simply awful. AWFUL.

This one needs a full restoration. The original elements are clearly failing, and we are in danger of losing this film for future generations, save for in the severely compromised form that currently appears on BD.

When I first got into Hitchcock earlier this year I promised myself I'd stick to BD and not buy any DVDs, but there are more than a few things in this list I want to see that aren't on BD. Are all of these films available in the US on DVD, at least?

Some Hitchcock movies, at least one, aren't available on anything as they are lost films.
