Default BenQ W1070+ or Optoma GT1080: who wins?

Does anyone have any advise about these two projectors? I mainly need it for short-throw 2D movie watching of projected Blu-rays/dvds.

Personally, I do not know a lot when it come's to Projector's/Screen's, but I have one friend that uses the BenQ along with a screen about 96", and it look's great . All that I have ever seen on his set up is 2D Blu-ray's/DVDs. I'm guessing on the distance between the projector and screen, but I would say is about 11'/12'. I do not know the exact model of BenQ he is using, but I do know he paid $900.00 for it. Hope this help's .

I have owned a DLP projector before and my dad has the w1070. It looks really good for the coin. If your a gamer DLP tends to have the quickest lag rates.

Regarding the Benq 1070, can I buy this anywhere and use it any country? This is a wattage/voltage/pal/ntsc type question. For example, I live in HK but Amazon sells the projector for cheaper but it will have a USA power chord. If i buy it here in HK, it will have a HK power chord.
