My order (placed on 12/26/2012) arrived today from Amazon. Can't really complain, considering how cheap it was

I watched Sword of Vengeance today and the DNR didn't really bother me at all. Definitely worth the $17!

Yeah I agree. It is there but it is minor.

It is not to the level of Predator Ultimate Hunter edition....

Here's my unboxing and thoughts about the movies and the set:
http://youtu.be/0Mi-Gs0piGI

I thought the picture quality is a step up over the DVD rips I've seen of the films, despite the tad bit of DNR and the sound quality is fantastic, however, I wish the menu could of been a lot better. Oh well, I'm also happy to have gotten the set for dirt cheap.

I was able to get this for around $17 as well and did a two day marathon of all 6 films last week.

I am not an expert but I did not find the issues with this release all that distracting either. Very much enjoyed revisiting these films.

I watched the films via my PS3 and a 55in. LG LCD panel FYI.

Overall I am still very happy with this set. Films 1-4 though for me are far better than the last 2. Changing directors seems to have changed the storytelling/pacing in the last 2 movies.

It's just a shame they couldn't be bothered to put out a set that included ALL the movies together, with SHOGUN ASSASSIN and the rest with English dubs and Japanese audio with English subs.
