I think I'll just pick them up separately. I don't really care for extra features, although it is nice up have everything on one convenient box.

So is the packaging for this set really as bad as everyone says?

Might go to Best Buy and pick this up for $29.99...

Edit: Just noticed that the singles are $3.99 at BB. Are there any extras on the seperate releases of Raiders, Crusade and Doom?

I have the US set, and I quite like the packaging. I've yet to see any damage to the discs from the packaging, as some are suggesting happens. I've discovered that pressing slightly on the top and bottom of the outside corners (it helps to have big hands!) bows the slot open enough to let the disc slide out without having to actually grip it, so I don't find it a problem to handle.

Yeah, and I don't even have big hands ... or feet! Don't get all the problems some folks say they have with the DigiBook.

Dammit, why did they have to add KOTCS? Don't need that abomination stinking up my collection.

I wish it was just the first 3 in the set.

I'm actually thinking of picking this set up (Indy)

but what's everyone's complaint with Alien/Bond/Indy?

- this set comes with bonus/special features/extended cuts right?
- is the UK set any different (be it packaging or content?)

I like the UK set for Alien as the disc holders are egg-shaped. Nice attention to detail for a change.

I feel the same way, so I made a custom cover for only the trilogy:

The custom covers I see people posting on this site makes me sad that I have no artistic talent whatsoever. I can't even draw a straight line.

Don't worry. Art isn't about straight lines.

So I don't have this set but I'm buying the movie on their own I have raiders of the lost ark and yesterday for Black Friday I got temple of doom. I was kind of bummed that it didn't come with a slip cover like raiders of the lost ark did. Any way I would of loved bonus features. But I love the remastering I fogot at time I was watching a 1984 film.
Answering a question with a link isn't really answering the question.

Bolding a post doesn't make your point get across.

I sold off my US set and swapped it out for the Australian set which is a fold out digipack with no ratings logos. Very nice case.

Not my video.

I bet some of the cover artists can't draw a straight line either, but they can work the mess out of a photo program!
Digital art is a whole new genre, it's more about layout and combining existing images instead of creating new images, esp for custom covers.

Play around with a photo program a bit and you'll probably be able to do your own customs before long. I used to, but then my photo program disappeared and I don't feel like learning another one, so I'm retired from the custom cover biz myself.

I don't have a photo program because I always got a headache trying to figure out which one to get. But the main reason I never got into trying custom covers was that I always assumed that you needed a real kick-ass printer - and where the hell would you get the right kind of paper (even if you knew the right kind of paper to get). Someone needs to come up with a "Custom Covers for Dummies" program and kit.

All FedEx Office (formerly Kinko's) stores have Photoshop on those computers that you rent by the minute, so I usually go there to print covers on nice paper with color laser printers, in case that helps.

Thanks for the tip, but I'd have to do the work on my computer because of a steep learning curve (remember - "Custom Covers for Dummies"). One thing I do have is a kick-ass computer. But if I could bring the docs in on a flash drive, I could print at a store. Do you use real thin paper like the original covers are made of?
