What do you guys think? Stay with red, or go with black? Maybe 50/50?
Go with artist. Always keep your artists happy.

Black case would look great with this.

Black would probably be very cool. I love the red cases since it makes them look like all your DVDs used to, but that cover would probably go better in black.

Please help me acquire these Scream Factory slips (in OCD Mint condition):
Cockneys Vs. Zombies,
The Howling, Phantasm II, The Fog, Prince Of Darkness, The Sopranos Complete Collection

Is there a different art for the limited?

Always think of MM as red cases, but the artist says black.

It will be the same art.

But we are working on some more substantial exclusive extras than previous LEs.

Details TBD/TBA

Please don't ruin the artwork again with a Limited Edition advertising slogan. This L.E. won't end up on shop shelves so it would be pointless anyways.

Red cases. Although there's a number of MM dvds I got in the past with the dark gray regular cases, so... whatever.

I'd do the black if the artist prefers that, but it's not like people can't buy their own red cases on eBay if that's what they want.
Wanted:
Warner Bros UK 90th Anniversary slipcover: 'A Clockwork Orange'
Criterion: 'The Third Man' Digipak (do NOT need discs or booklets)
Studio Canal Collection Nordic Edition slipcovers for digibook releases
Disney UK 3D slipcover for 'Frozen'

I've never even heard of Symptoms before, but it's always cause for celebration when a lost movie gets rediscovered and released. Yay!

Those Belgians don't happen to have a few dozen reels marked "Greed", do they? Or "London After Midnight"? "4 Devils"?

Excellent news Jared! My only small critique about the limited editions so far is that it would be nice if they had exclusive special feature content on the discs themselves, like what Arrow do with their limited releases.

Great to see you guys are already on to it!

Thanks! There's a good reason why our disc content is the same for LE and for the standard: $$!

What you suggest would require the creation and replication of two separate discs for one movie. Basically, if you are changing anything to a disc you are in fact creating a whole new disc, and authoring houses and replicators will charge you full price for doing so.

By keeping the content the same there is no need for new authoring, and replicators will only charge a reprinting fee.

I LOVE what Arrow is doing with their LEs. And I really wish we had the budget to do similarly huge box sets and whatnot. But that's just not in the cards for us at the moment. So we have to utilize what resources are available to us. I think we do a pretty good job!

So yes, we will have some exclusive substantive extras on our SYMPTOMS package not available anywhere else. But the blu-ray disc will feature the same content for both limited and retail. (BTW,the BFI blu will feature the exact same content as well.)

I will be preordering from the Cartel store as soon as it becomes available. Mondo Macabro did a great job with Lizard...so looking forward to it.

Makes complete sense Jared! You guys already do an excellent job. As things expand in the future (which I'm sure they will), perhaps later on down the track you could look into a higher duplication run for the limited editions, 2000 or 3000 to justify the expense of authoring an exclusive bonus disc of features or soundtrack etc. With titles like A LIZARD IN A WOMAN'S SKIN selling out 999 copies in the limited edition run, it is a great sign for you guys.

Purchased and watched Lizard in a Woman's Skin yesterday. Am pleased with the disc overall. Man, Anita Strindberg had a really rockin' bod in her day! And look at those abs! This was before all these modern fitness training programs too!
