It's nice to see that we actually agree on something every now and then , usually it seems that we're on opposite ends of the spectrum . But hey, people disagree, and that's just a part of life. Whatever the case, I'm just happy to know that there are others out there who realize that films like "Over the Top," "No Retreat No Surrender," "American Ninja," and "House II: The Second Story" are easily amongst the best films ever made.

I do, I look right past them back to the classics I already own .

I see that many a year as well, there are more than just a handful. I'm sorry, but that's just delusional to think otherwise. To each their own, but I have a hard time believing that coming off a year where we had 'Argo', 'Silver Linings Playbook', 'Django Unchained', 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower', and 'Skyfall', among so many others, that there are only ten good movies from the last fifteen years. That's just simply not true.
I don't...That's about how many genuinely good films have been made during that time.

While I can't speak for "Showgirls" (since I never saw it), I will say that "Jingle All the Way" (which I thought was ok, but wasn't overly fond of) blows most of today's films out of the water.

Just because someone can't stand a certain era of films doesn't mean they're not a movie fan. Opinions will always vary. Anyone who would spend time posting and blogging on a website like this has to have a love for film of one sort or another.

nagysaudio and I seldom agree on much of anything, but I'm in complete agreement with him regarding the opinion that 99.9% of films post 2000, are a complete waste (and I wouldn't let someone pay me to watch most of them)...

I don't agree in the slightest. There's a difference between personal preference and whether a movie is good. There are more than ten or fifteen good movies from the last decade. It's ridiculous to think otherwise. We'll just have to agree to disagree.

These small generic looking titles are not doing anything for their names and they'll be back to doing straight to video dreck if this continues. I'm not saying they should only stick to sequels or remakes, but if you are going to do something new, do something that stands out. Hopefully The Tomb is that film as it at least sounds kind of interesting and will be a nice pair up of the two.
They actually shouldnt have even bothered with any comeback. It never works right and athleetes fail at it all the time too. Both had illustrious careers, made millions, and are mostly well-liked by movie watchers.

They are just making themselves look silly out there. The movies are bad, the scripts are useless, the action has zero context or intrigue so its boring, etc, etc.

Do they need money or are they just bored?

Default Stallone's Bullet to the Head

No release date set yet, but this isn't really wish list material either so I'm making a pre-emptive thread I guess you'd say.

But seriously... what's taking this title so long to be announced?

It really wasn't that bad. Strictly middle-of-the-road Stallone, though.

I'd rank it around stuff like The Specialist, Lock Up, and Assassins. Probably more enjoyable than those three, though.

Default Bullet To The Head - Still no release date?

What's the hold up here? I see it has 3 releases (as soon as a couple weeks away) set up for other countries but not even a date yet 3 months after release?

I realize it was critically savaged and made no money at the box office, but that never stopped any other bad movies from coming out. I would figure if anything a blu release is one of the only shots left to make any cash back on it's budget. Even with his diminished star, it's still Stallone.

Saw on another sight the release date is July 16. Maybe WB wanted to steer clear of Die HArd and The Last Stand and all the titles coming in June.
