I would like to upgrade my 47" to a 55". My biggest concern is 24p. I prefer to watch my blurays in 24p but my tv doesn't actually support, it's more simulated. Sometimes I can get it working with my HTPC, sometimes I can't. My Bluray does not see it as a 24p tv. So when looking for a new tv how do I know if it truly does support 24p or if it is simulated. If nothing else how do I know what tv's will be recognized as 24p by my bluray player?

As far as I am aware all 1080P HDTV’s made around 2010-2012 will accept a 1080p/24 input from the Blu-ray player. To display 1080p/24 signals at multiplies of the original frame rate on a LCD screen you will need to purchase a 120Hz or 240Hz LCD screen with the option to turn off the frame interpolation feature. Turning off the motion feature will then result in the LCD screen repeating the original 24fps 5 times for 120Hz or 10 time for 240Hz. Sony, Samsung and others offer this feature on 120Hz and 240Hz displays.
