Yeah, I've found websites with artwork and other parts. I just don't have the room/money to buy all of the games I want. A MAME cabinet is my best option to play all of the classics I enjoy.

I'm already planning on having a custom cabinet built after I get my house.

I set up MAME for one reason, and one reason only...

WrestleFest.

I remember playing it a few times as a kid, but not nearly as much as I'd wished. When I found out about MAME, I knew I had to track down WrestleFest.

I have plans for building a custom cabinet, including all the wiring work. I'll get around to building one eventually. If anyone wants a copy, just PM me.
I don't make monkeys, I just train 'em.
If you're interested, there might be a Donkey Kong kill screen in a couple minutes.

I love that game. It's one of the reasons I want a MAME cabinet. That and the Simpsons game and some of the other great side scroll beat em up games.

I actually owned a Wrestlefest arcade in the late 90s. I sold it though.

I remember my mother and my grandmother taking me to the arcade in town when I was little. I would always play X-Men. My mother and grandmother probably blown over fifty dollars on that game when I was 4 years old. Back in Honolulu before I left for the Big Island for college, I found an arcade machine of it at the dollar theater. I blew $5 on it and I felt like all my troubles had went away when I was playing it. It brought back so many good memories of my childhood. I would love to find the 6 player machine of it and own it.

Yeah, I'll eventually build myself a cabinet, primarily for WrestleFest. I'm just worried that something is lost in the emulation, but I won't really know until I play it on a bigger monitor (so far I've only played it on PSP, and in a small'ish window on my Mac).

Why in the world would you sell it? Do you remember what you sold it for/how much they'd go for today?

There was one for sale in Jax. a few months ago for $400. That's a decent asking price, but I think you could negotiate that down if the seller is motivated.

I went through a phase in the late 90s when I bought/sold quite a few different games.

If I remember correctly, I bought it at an arcade auction for around $600 and sold it for slightly more.

As Musashi said, Zophar's Domain isn't a bad place to go. There are many places you can go to get MAME on your computer. Setup is pretty easy, too.

MAME homepage: http://mamedev.org/
MAME download: http://mamedev.org/release.html

Zophar's Domain: http://www.zophar.net/ (there's a ton of emulator-related stuff on there)

I'm currently helping out another Blu-ray.com forum member with getting MAME going on their PC, and I can help you if you'd like (if you need it).
