Looks like they finally got this right. Well, I hope they've got it right cuz it's the last time I'm buying this film.

Full agreement here. As a test, I took a scene from this movie and used Adobe After effects to add grain, telecine wobble, white dust specks, film flickering and black marks to really give it a grindhouse feel. Came out pretty awesome actually.

I always thought Texas Chainsaw actually BENEFITED from the dark and gritty low-budget look it had. It stands out from all these other polished-looking, huge-budget flop horror films that Hollywood keeps pumping out.

Texas Chainsaw was just gritty enough to make it crawl under your skin and make you feel like you were watching something you weren't suppose to be seeing.

Can't wait to see this in the theater again and then on BD. I am seeing The Beatles A Hard Day's Night and then The Texas Chainsaw Massacre at the theater within a week of each other. First a film with annoying screaming teenagers and then a film about annoying teenagers being slaughtered.
George Lucas didn't rape your childhood, he did however ruin Star Wars.

Default First post.

Hello, I am new to posting on this site but have been registered for some time. I apparently need to have at least one post before i can make a comment. It was TCM related. I wanted to attempt to offer an explanation/theory about the new 40th ann. TCM poster art.

Only problem with the poster is the blood wasn't yet smeared on the van when they passed the armadillo.
