I would say it is the best film about basketball and college sports in general ever.
Also it features brief but glorious nudity of 2 of the sexiest women who have ever lived (Milla Jovovich and Rosario Dawson)
Great performance by Denzel as well. Great Spike Lee film.
Its on my list.

I thought it was pretty good but not top 20 overall for sports. My main issue was Ray Allen. His acting was terrible. Yea I know he isnt an actor but for the type of kid he was playing I thought at the time Allen Iverson was fit for that role. Especially for where he came from and his personality, I think he wouldve did a better job and it wouldve been more natural and believable. Other than that it was pretty good. My fav basketball film is White Men Can't Jump and I would take that over he Got Game any day. I know one is comedy and one is drama but White Men Can't Jump was an instant classic to me. As for college sports films I would say The Program is the best overall and it felt so real with real depiction of what was goin on in college sports. Got Em!!

Note: I made a slight change to my list. To wit, #18 "The Fan" was replaced by "The Boy in Blue."

As long as its a documentary in the form of a movie which I believe Hoop Dreams is. I mean there are those documentaries that come on tv and are super long. I wont count those but a feature film documentary like Hoop Dreams would work. Got Em!!
