I sort by studio as well and don't find it hard to know where anything is at all. I'm just more aware of what studio made a certain movie. Like "oh Harry Potter is a WB film" then it's in the WB section. It's not like because it's not in the "H" section I don't know where it is. It just becomes easier over time.

It also looks nicer sorting by studio, compared to the jumbled mess alphabetizing creates

I know right. All my shelving is from wal-mart. I'm about to buy one more from there as I need more shelving space bad. When I got time and money I'll look into good shelving or just build it myself.
