Sorry, our movie arrangements are important enough that I wanted to post it again here at the top of this page, so you don't miss it - it got the last slot on the previous page...

nothing for new years I don't think this year with little man running around....
Just went and saw The Hobbit in HFR 3D last night by myself at Penn Cinema in Lititz - They don't have the HFR in IMAX, so I had to watch it in a smaller theater, but the screen was still pretty large - I sat in the second row center where there is a gap in the front row for wheelchairs, so I had an unobstructed view of the screen which pretty much filled my field of view inside the glasses... Everyone else in the theater sat behind the cross-aisle between the 3rd and 4th rows, and the theater was pretty full, but I had the front 3-row section entirely to myself - no talking, cell phones, crinkling celophane candy wrappers, creaking chairs... Not sure how well I like the 48fps, everything is definitely much smoother on pans, but it does have that PBS "Masterpiece Theater" kind of look those British productions have - not nearly as bad as an actual videotape look, but maybe halfway there... will take some getting used to.

And, I was referring to New Years weekend for getting together (Sat-Sun), not New Years Eve... movies only stay in the IMAX theater for about 3 weekends or so, before another new IMAX movie takes over, so we gotta be quick if you want to see it in IMAX rather than HFR... The following weekend (Jan 5th) will be my Monthly Movie Night showing of The Bourne Legacy (if anyone shows up), we could do The Hobbit that afternoon if it is still playing, and then come back to my place for an evening show...???

So are you saying Troy that no one should post to any thread you post to until the owner of said thread reads his posts first?

Huh? No, just didn't want him to miss my post when it gets "buried" at the bottom of the previous page, because we've been trying to arrange a get-together in the next couple of weeks, along with Fors*...

I was joking Troy. The GTG sounds like fun.

BTW Hi John, I have not seen you around much. That's a great looking pic of your son.

Hello John, where ya been buddy? We have not seen you around lately. I see you posted asking about a Denon 4520. Were you able to score the deal? I just got last years model the 4311CI. How about dropping in and say hi to the boys when you get the chance? If I don't see you soon I'll call you.
