Just don't expect a 4K frame by frame restoration for every release. I think Warner, and the other studios, see streaming as the future of home video and that's why they are prepping more titles in HD, even if they aren't spending the money for a "proper" restoration.
I second this suggestion. The real benefit for me is being able to see so many titles in HD that WAC has only released on DVD.

Is the streaming service still unavailable to non-US-based users? I'd be more than willing to give it a try (or even subscribe to it) if only they changed their regional policies...
If, as you say, streaming is the future of home video, it should be so for everyone interested in classic studio cinema, regardless of geographic locations...

Yes, very nice! Great early 80s horror. This would look awesome alongside a Blu release of "The Changeling"... (Hint, hint Warner!!).
The top of my BD Wish List: The Changeling (1980), Ali (Director's Cut), Proof of Life, The Contender, Waitress, The Freshman (1990).

I can't say that I'd like a flood of latter-day genre films like this, but Wolfen is one that I'd like. And I hope The Hunger isn't too far behind (the prospect of hearing the opening with Bauhaus performing "Bela Lugosi's Dead" in DTS HD-MA is making me drool...)

I've yet to see them take care of any HBO entity though.
No ones been asking Warner for the Hitcher or any other HBO Films release either.
I still have doubts that any Warner Home Video company would take care of any of their titles.
Would be nice though.

True enough, but HBO Home Video gets treated as a separate little fiefdom from Warner Home Video.
