The most important thing you can do to make the 1999 game easier is to reload checkpoints, if you don't find gear that you like at the random drops. Certain gear combined with certain vigors makes otherwise difficult battles trivial.

Ok thanks. I forgot it's not like the other bioshocks where u get trophies for upgrading all weapons lol. But yeah am doing good with the scopes and such i have 3 left to find. Been using a guide.

Anyone have tips for the end of the game in 1999 mode? One of my friends suggested staying at the bottom of the ship but for me that's not working cause then i get shot from everyone running close to the generator. I do put traps down too.

[Show spoiler]Since the Songbird cooldown is shorter when attacking enemies on the deck, you may want to use it more than you did on an easier difficulty.

Otherwise I just shot dudes with the handcannon and rocket launcher and cast a lot of lightning, which I realise isn't particularly helpful.

[Show spoiler]Just like tarvis said, use the songbird on the deck enemies first, then the airships. Otherwise, I just rode the rails, dropping down to do fire damage to the enemies on deck and maintain my immunity to damage (with the right gear, shooting them a couple of times with the shotgun (hand cannon will do), posessed someone, then back up. Targeted RPG wielders first. It was quick.

Exactly what I did at the end as well. Worked like a charm!

Yeah, the carbine/sniper combo worked wonders for me.

I don't have the hand cannon or does one get dropped from a enemy? I been using the carbine and shotgun but i switch out the shotgun for rpg. I will try all of this and thanks.

Shotgun is fine. That's what I used. I did not use the hand cannon in my 1999 game. You may find a hand cannon there. That is fine, too.
