Hi guys need a little more help got my panasonic bd80 set up through my Philips hrt5224 a/v reciever, pic is great and sound excellent thanks to some help on here but today watching a normal dvd not blu ray i started getting U73 error, any help please. I watched a blu ray last night with no trouble at all.

no switch but my cable is an old one, which cable would i replace the one from the player to the philips or the one from the philips to the telly

they would be the equivalent of 1.4 which has the ability for ethernet and a very good nice point

HDMI versions do not equate to the cable, as so many retailers etc, seem to include in their listings. Cat 1 (Standard Speed) and Cat 2 (High Speed) are the two main types of cable used. Saying its equivalent to 1.4 is just as misleading.

that was why i didn't say it was 1.4......HDMI 1.4 supports ethernet as did the cables i suggested..cat 1 and cat 2 aren't specific enough to say they have ethernet capability. Cat 1 and Cat 2 support different resolutions, Cat 2 is required for 4K resolution while Cat 1 will not work with 4K. The cables i suggested are Cat2(High speed) with ethernet, which satifies the requirements for HDMI 1.4
