Live Free or Die Hard on BD outstanding

Well that majorly sucks I guess I'll pick this up so I can get a new unrated dvd as my original copy is on it's last legs. But I may just get the dvd re release as I don't want to pay $17 for it if it doesn't have the unrated cut on blu-ray. I guess we'll have to wait til 2018 (30th anniversary) or for a new die hard movie for the unrated cut to finally be on blu-ray

If you want to be accurate. HDTV was around in the late 90's.

For what it's worth, I emailed Fox Connect to find out if the "unrated feature" was a misprint and they responded with this:

"Dear Valued Customer,

Live Free or Die Hard does include the Unrated Feature on Blu-Ray and can be purchase through http://www.foxconnect.com.

Fox Customer Care"

I'm still not confident that this is accurate information but it might be worth the risk. If it turns out to be wrong, I could just complain that they sent the wrong item or provided incorrect information.

As it is confirmed the box set contains the PG-13 cut, there's no way they printed an entire batch of new discs with the Unrated version and then left it out of the set.

I saw this at a Half Price Books. I didn't buy it, but fans of the movie might want to add it to their collections.

The standard format means nothing. Paramount should have produced Star Trek: TMP Director's Cut as a full print release. The decision to make a home video SD version only was a plain stupid idea. So many people now want it in HD and now that Paramount didn't future proof that version, customers are upset. They have to now pay for the same job twice. I don't care if SD was standard at that time. HD was the quickly oncoming future.
