At this point I have no faith that this will be released any time soon, like not within years. I chalk this and True Lies up as a loss. Sick of waiting around for these two movies. Been listening to rumors for these titles for years now, years.

And I am pro-Lynch!
Mulholland and Lost Hwy are in my top five of all time.
Eraserhead, Wild at Heart, The Straight Story and The L.A. Trilogy are the only films that should be Criterionized®.

I'm gonna go on a limb and say that Tiny Furniture or Frances Ha didn't resonate either.

Seeing how MD is 147 mins long, scanning that with 2K will probably take years if Lynch is involved, and in the time it takes to make the cover and find extras.

I have never seen this, but I love Blue Velvet, and have heard nothing but good things about this film. I'll need to check it out.

Mulholland Drive may be my favourite film of all time. I have the Studio Canal blu, but if Criterion got their hands on this.. Would be brilliant.

Strange thing to say, with such authority too.
Drink up, Mr. innocent. Drink. Everybody's innocent here. There's only one guilty party...and that's me.

So I recently got the Czech release after finally giving up on a US release coming soon to a store near you, and must recommend it as a solid option to any other region A locked collectors. I know the German Concorde release is region free as well but have heard that the picture was inferior to the Studio Canal releases' AVC encode and this is the only region free Studio Canal release of which I'm aware. Extras are in PAL like the other European releases but for those interested it has chapters like the Japanese release. And for about $20 shipped, compared to like $30 before shipping from Japan, this release is a great way to enjoy this Lynch in HD.
