Ah yes, I fondly remember the True Tears waifu wars of 2008. Fantastic stuff that one is.

I'm most flabbergasted by the false hope The Shadow Chronicles left behind. It might be forgettable, but decent enough to mislead me at the time into expecting the story to get finished. If only "past me" could've be told just HOW badly their plans would backfire! Of course I'm easy to fool in that regard. (insert canned movie sequel here)

In any event I don't doubt for a second Harmony Gold will lose the licenses, knowing how they treat the Japanese companies / source material. Question is what quackery they'll pull next to delay the inevitable.
Looking for Urusei Yatsura DVDs.

These are the ones I know of:

Available on 4K UHD Blu-ray

Japan:
Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt December Sky (native resolution: 1440x810)
Accel World: Infinite Burst (don't know the native resolution)
Your Name. (native resolution: 1920x1080)

Hong Kong:
Your Name. (The first anime 4K UHD Blu-ray to be released outside Japan)

Not yet available on 4K UHD Blu-ray:

4K or higher scans from film elements:

Belladonna of Sadness
Megazone 23
Giant Robo: The Animation
Crusher Joe The Movie
Ghibli movies (I believe all of them were scanned in 6K)
Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket
Cardcaptor Sakura (upcoming Warner Bros Japan release)
Momotaro, Sacred Sailors (4K IP scan, restored in 2K)

4K upscale:
Honey and Clover

Anything shot on film could be put on UHD- specifically movies and OVAs. Not many TV anime series could benefit- late 35mm series from Sunrise (Escaflowne, Bebop and Outlaw Star) would be good candidates.
Retro always wins!

I'm glad someone understands this. So many people on FB just don't seem to grasp this. They are like they should put every show on 4K BD now! I'm like...well uhh it probably wouldn't turn out to well maybe...
