I wonder how much the Digibook will be at Wal-Mart?
Here's hoping for a $19.99-$22.99 price

It just seems to have been destroyed (both those prints, as well as the original camera footage - I don't recall perfectly but I believe what they would have had of the latter was destroyed in a fire).

Of course, like Star is Born, there are rumors some collector has one, but it's never been verified and apparently they did a rather exhaustive search a decade or so go when preparing the DVD version.

I have the UK version - love it. Just like the DVD, the documentary is the best extra one could ever want - it's a two hour film and it's amazing. One of the best film docs I have ever seen, I've watched it quite a few times.

I'm a big fan so I am double dipping for the US release, though I'm going for the non-Digibook version.
The ****ing idiots that ran Fox in the '70s junked all of the trims for their films from 1978 backwards. The cut footage from Cleopatra was among what went in the garbage.

Wait, you didn't order it from Amazon? I'm currently paying $18.99 due to their preorder price guarantee. At some point I guess it dropped. That's why I like preordering. I can always cancel later if the price isn't low enough. I'm hoping it drops below $18.99 by release day.

Oh sorry. I did preorder when it was $18.99. I was just asking because I had a coupon, so I was weighing which option would cost the least, but I may just chuck the coupon and go with Amazon.

Wow. I own the blu-ray, and it's great, but the big screen is the way to go with this movie if you can make it imho. It's 2 movies really, with a run time of more than 4 hours with the intermission. Buy a bottle of water and some nuts and chocolate to go with this one, imho, but I think it's a magnificent and underrated epic. Obviously slow and doomy in places.
