4 of my personal favorites. I've got to honestly give it some thought.
Couldn't agree more

The problem with objecting to absolute truth is that you can't say there's anything absolutely wrong with it.

Great film, and a great ending. Then my brain takes a shit on itself trying to ignore the problem of where the hell all those cars are going to park.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

To this day this is my favorite film. I know the ending pissed a lot of people off, but to me it was perfect. I spent the entire three hours on the edge of my seat, not wanting it to end. And when it did end, I was entirely satisfied. When Aragorn says "leave all that can be spared behind, we travel light, let's hunt some orc" and the music swells, I get so caught up in the moment. Then you transition to Frodo and Sam walking into the distance towards Mordor. I knew there was so much more to the story to tell over the next two installments, but I was so satisfied from the past three hours that it left me begging for more.

That speech is...well, words don't really cover it. Someone put Hans Zimmer's "Time" over it and it is

One of my favorite endings as well. I love how it parallels the ending of Black Swan. Sort of a directorial signature.

I once had a conversation with a buddy several years ago about which of the 3 LOTR you would choose to be able to watch again, if you couldn't the other two (I know weird convo ). Anyway, we both chose Fellowship because it leaves you with wonder and we would rather watch a journey's beginning over and over again than its middle or end.

the Empire Strikes Back ending was Return of the Jedi, not a good ending.

I guess Revenge of the Sith had a good ending simply because the awful prequels had come to an end.

Yep.

Or as I like to put it, The Empire Strikes Back never had an ending.

I am still waiting after all these years.

Maybe it was my age (15) ...but the ending to dark knight really moved me when i first saw it in theaters. It shot down the "Just-world fallacy" i had at that time.

really powerful shit for me
