I love that theaters are releasing cool limited edition 3D glasses for people that see it early. I received these when I saw the film and while they're simple I think they're awesome. I got these at a local Cinemark theater. I hope studios keep doing this because once I received exclusive Titanic 3D glasses I've been collecting these. Just another thing for me to start collecting, lol. Let me know if you were able to get these and show off your own Limited Edition 3D Glasses Collection.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey - (Cinemark Theaters) ![]() Titanic 3D w/ Limited Edition Poster - (AMC Theaters) ![]() Just a fun thread for people that like these. No hate on here, keep it civil and keep it fun.

The Hobbit - Green
The Hobbit - Limited Edition The Avengers - Full Set Harry Potter 7P2 - Limited Edition Titanic - Gold Star Wars - Pod Glasses Monster's Inc - Green I try not to tear the bags up so I can keep them in it. It may be quirky, but when I get release posters or something I sometimes mount the frames with the glasses at the bottom with the ticket stubs. "I wanted Uhura to kick ass. I don't care if I'm kicking or punching something or someone, I just wanted her to sort of be a little more physical."

![]() Also back when I thought Oakley did active 3D glasses with Tron but it turned out they were passive 3D?? The store person made it sound as though they were active but The Hobbit ones are passive I believe. They were both under the Gascan build/frame. |

I have
Pirates otC glasses (from DMR) Captain America 3D glasses (from the premiere at Comic Con) Harry Potter ones (HORRIBLY uncomfortable from the Double Feature of HP 7.1+2). kids glasses: Lion King, Beauty & the Beast, Nemo, The Lorax, Ice Age 4 Cars 2 adult ones (from DMR). Avengers set of 4 Star Wars Pod glasses + Darth Maul glasses Hobbit Green set [ed: + Limited Edition Hobbit set after hearing about them here] I know there were Amazing Spider-Man ones in Japan, but I couldn't justify importing. There were also Transformers masks at Wal-Mart that were passive 3D glasses. Some of the Oakley ones are documented in this thread: http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=186858
Now running in 3D with the LG Cinema 3D (nominally showing 3D in 1080i per eye) 47LW6500 (up-or-down-or-side-graded from a 50" Sammy 3D Plasma) and a Benq W1070 and a 100" screen, and controlling it with a Harmony 880.

![]() I'd love to get a set of the glasses from The Avengers, but I'm not willing to pay the prices they're going for on eBay. Last edited by bsweetness; 01-06-2013 at 09:23 PM. |

That's a lot of very cool 3D glasses. I usually can't go to 3D movies because live action 3D makes my wife want to throw up. I have remedied that little problem. Got her a pair of 3D to 2D glasses. Read all the reviews and apparently they convert back to 2D and the movie looks fine. So there are now more 3D movies in my future.
