Today is the 25th anniversary of the tragic passing of Hank Gathers.

The Loyola Marymount team that he played on with Bo Kimble was one of the most exciting teams to watch that I've ever seen.
It was truly one of the saddest days I've experienced in sports history.

It would be amazing if the University of North Florida wins the A-Sun tourney and gets a birth in the NCAA tournament for the first time in school history. I'm a huge Duke fan, but I've also been paying close attention UNF as of late. We're excited if UNF can get a spot into the big dance.

The rep from A-Sun will definitely be either North Florida or Florida Gulf Coast.

I'm just hoping that Mercer can make a run through the Southern. They're the 3-seed, so they get a bye (the top 6 do, actually). We've lost to the top team (Wofford) by 3 and 4 points, and the second (Chattanooga) by 3 in OT and then 13.

UNF is close but it will come down to those 2 schools to get that birth to the big dance. I'm assuming the winner of the A-Sun tourney will be a #15 or #16 seed come tourney time? I really regret passing up on the free UNF home games that LeAnn gets.

Good luck to Mercer, just hope if the get in they don't put Mercer in the same bracket with Duke again

Jacksonville will host the 2nd and 3rd rounds and depending which schools will be playing, I might consider going this time around. Last time Duke played there was back in 2011 when they won the National Championship. Of course I didn't dish out the money because it was only in the 1st Round.

If Okafor keeps refusing to play defense and shoots 0% from FT, it won't matter who we get.

I was at the game in November when North Florida played at Northern Iowa. UNI was up 18-0 to start the game but North Florida actually outscored UNI over the remainder of the game, although UNI still won by 17. I'll be rooting for them in their conference tournament since beating other tournament teams makes UNI look better when it comes to seeding.

UNF is one win away securing a birth into the Big Dance this Sunday. We'll get tickets, and we're going! It's only a $10 donation at the entrance. Very excited

Yup, 2009-2010 season. Typo on my part.

That was the year when nobody thought Duke would go all the way, mainly because the top seeds have already lost.

EDIT: Going to support the team's logo for this weekend's huge game!
