My sentiments exactly. I wonder if it'll get a separate US release as well, or just Canada . . . ? (Not that it matters much, but I'm just curious.)

Thumbs up

I picked this one up yesterday (got lucky I guess)
While picking up Frozen, Dallas BC, and Amer. Hustle.

Only one on the shelf, and was NOT going to pass it up.
Guess it was meant to be.

The Heavweight collection is back down to $19.50 shipped again at Foxconnect using the code FILMFAN. The code is good for 50% off nearly everything in the store, including pre-orders

i wasn't going to double-dip on the entire box set, but i'll likely pick up this release if the reviews are good & just swap out the disc.

I searched the thread and cannot find discussion on the crappy 5.1 mix of DVD/bluray.

I HATE how the Conti score is buried in the punches.

For 13 years I have been coming to the digital version, and for 13 years I have been listening to the mono version to get it right....and wanna know how come!!

You wanna know.

I WANNA KNOW

Well they had the talent to put out a proper high def 5.1 surround mix and instead of that...they got a second rate low def mono mix...

well some would say its a compromise....

ITS A WASTE OF TECHONOLOGY!

Yes, It's a disgrace...

I immediately noticed when it was released on DVD and it's sickening that they still haven't remedied it.

Thanks a lot for posting this. Luckily I was on the forum last night and saw it. Anyway, this is my story: I bought the new boxed set at the discounted price, and posted my Undisputed Set on eBay last night. I started the bidding at $20, hoping to recover what I paid for the new set. I set the buy it now price at $35 for the hell of it, thinking that no one would actually buy it. Then this morning I went to pick up Infamous Second Son, and when I came home, I found that someone bought my Undisputed Set for $35. Not a bad return if I do say so myself. At least this way I won't be as pissed when I triple dip if and when they get around to remastering the rest of the films.

I never even bothered with the 5.1 to be honest. For some reason MGM's mono-to-multichannel remixes tend to suck (the ones for the early Bond movies are particularly shite) so I usually steer clear.
