I imported the first from the UK. That's really all I need from this franchise.

How would they have known to call you, let alone that you watched it?
creepy!

The first and second are logical. But then in the third we're brought back to the time period of the first, and suddenly more immortals exist that somehow "didn't count" when Conor won the gathering and he has to go back to NY for yet another gathering. Then in the fourth, they combined the movie universe with the TV series universe
The downside to continuing a one shot deal is having to put up with retcons to the story's sequels. I was surprised when Dawson mentioned Kurgan on the TV show though!

The original's BD looked pretty good to my memory, and retained the special features. It's also really cheap, worth getting I think.

I bought the UK import of the first film from a third party on Amazon last month; never cared much about the sequels or TV show. I'm hoping the reboot turns out better than just another shameless retread.

My recollection is the TV show changed that Connor and the Kurgan were the last of the immortals. Instead it made them the last immortals in the city and the Gathering was still going on (i.e. more would show up) so the TV version of Connor never got the prize.

Fortunately, while I enjoyed the TV show in its time, I only re-watch or care about the original movie now so don't care what they retcon.

I loved the TV Show.
Then they went and made the 4th movie.
Now the only aspect I even acknowledge as existing is the Trilogy!

I'm a fan of the 1st Highlander movie and the TV show. Although the TV show was like Star Trek TNG where the first two seasons were mediocre to average and it look a while to find it's footing. The 3rd and 4th seasons were the best.

I think the 4th movie is the best sequel, but that's not saying much. It really annoyed me how Duncan has a wife in the movie, but the series specifically stated that he NEVER had a wife and then there's the whole bad immortal violating the rules when not even the Kurgan violated them (and of all the evil immortals, he would have been the most likely one to not give a rat's arse about the rules).

I made the mistake ordering from them once, a year prior to the phone call. Not only did they call me about The Source, they also called everyday for two months before I finally yelled at them to leave me alone or I'd sue for harassment.
The best number is 73. Why? 73 is the 21st prime number. Its mirror, 37, is the 12th and its mirror, 21, is the product of multiplying 7 and 3... and in binary 73 is a palindrome, 1001001, which backwards is 1001001.
What is real? How do you define 'real'? If you're talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, what you can taste and see, then 'real' is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain.

Agreed. They tried too hard to ram it in people's heads that Kell was EVIL!

I just wish that we could get a respectable 2k scan of all the cuts of each film in 1 box set with lossless audio in original configuration. The trailers, a few nice interviews and makings of. I know it won't happen due to rights issues, but I remember renting these on VHS and then seeing laserdiscs, vcd and DVD copies of the films through the years. I do hate not having all of the cuts
