Think it's the same just in a steelbook now. Plus it's a combo pack with UV.
I'm interested in trading for The Hunger Games & Hunger Games: Catching Fire BB SBs. PM if interested.

If a Donner/Murray fued is what is holding up any special features for the fans, do it without them! Even the Christmas Vacation dvd didn't involve Chevy Chase on the commentary or anything else. Scrooged has a huge ensemble cast that could easily add to the special features. You could have a commentary with Karen Allen, Carol Kane and Alfre Woodard. There could be interviews with the writers, producers and set designers on making the film. There are plenty of special features out there that exist without the director and star. Seems pretty silly this movie remains one of the few and only Christmas classics that has nothing special to add to the bare bones dvd and blu-ray release.

Supplemental features were already completed, from what I understand, and are in a vault held up by clearance issues. Paramount would have to create new materials but even then these could be locked up in legal hell.

Bill Murray very rarely participates in supplemental features anyway so I doubt any recent interviews were conducted with him. I remember his participation in the Stripes retrospective being a huge enough deal that the DVD advertised it on the front sticker.

There's some films I'm interested in that are now available from Warner, Scrooged being one of them, and I've got a few questions... how are they available from Warner, are the rights shared? And I'm assuming because the Warner release prices are generally lower that they're sort of a bare bones release correct? For instance, does Warner's Scrooged come with the slipcover?

I appreciate any help, thanks

Paramount couldn't afford distribution costs for most of their library. Rather than cherry pick the "best" or "perfect timed" titles, they chose to sign a distribution deal.

Warner won the distribution agreement for over 600 titles, note Warner does not have the actual rights to these films; Paramount still owns them. Warner will handle authoring (for new to Blu titles) and distribution while Paramount provides the elements. For titles already released on Blu-ray, Warner will simply distribute the same discs as before.

Warner will also take over distribution of newly released titles like Flight, The Guilt Trip, and Fun Size. The Warner releases will be either BD and UV only, BD only, or BD3D and BD2D only dependent on title.

Parmount retains and will still handle distribution for the Indiana Jones, Star Trek, Transformers, "Jack Ryan," and Paranormal Activity franchises along with the films directed by Steven Spielberg.

True. This is the only "recent" interview where I've heard him talk about Scrooged (specifically working with Robert Mitchum).

Does anybody know if this one comes with an iTunes digital copy as well - or is it only UV?
"Who is Guy..Meatdrapes? What kinda' name is that?" "Um..it's um..Medrapades sir, it's uh, it's Greek." "Well I think you're pronouncing it wrong. This says Meatdrapes." "It's actually pronounced, um, Medrapades." "Well why doesn't it sound like that when I say it? Meatdrapes."

It's Warner, so it's UV only.
