I was just curious if they would. I remember it was general complaint among some people who bought the re-releases that the special features weren't in HD.

Is part 3 coming out by itself with the 4k remaster?

So the 4K Trilogy is being sold separate from the so called "fixed" trilogy with all the extras? That's really stupid. Call me crazy but how about a set that has the 4K transfers and all the extras?

4k isn't being sold in/as a Trilogy Set.
They are individual cases.

Hmm I see but why no pre-order at Amazon or Best Buy?

There's another thread about the new trilogy box.
"My boys are 8, 10 and 12 and never saw the SE editons or the PT until I had ingrained in them the UOT over and over again and again. They do not like the PT nor the SE editions at all to this day." -LAdodgers

Does anyone know what the packaging for this re-release set will be like? Will it be a slipcase with the three individual movies, or a digipak with maybe some new artwork?

And also, from those who have the 2012 re-releases are the discs for the 3rd movie duplicates of the 2007 versions? I remember asking and someone said the only new transfer was for the first movie, and 2 was the same besides extras. Thanks-

The re-release of the third movie doesn't have the special features disc. It's only the first disc, and yes, it is the same as the one from the 2007 release.

It shouldn't be. It should be a new scan and encode for the 4K release. Yes, the first Spider-Man 3 release was done in 4K, but encoding and mastering techniques have improved since it's release, and it should be a better PQ presentation.

Would have been Day 1 if it were the new 4K transfers.
