I've got some blu rays where no matter what setting I have on the disc, will show the white in play boxes in the top hand corner and it really annoys me. How can I stop in screen messages on my player? Struggling. Thanks
It applies to blu rays like the studio Ghbili ones and Bourne Supremacy. Last edited by leehutchison; 12-07-2012 at 01:39 PM. |

Probably this:
Certain Blu-ray Discs contain secondary video (Picture-in- Picture, or PIP) and secondary audio. This feature is often called BONUSVIEW. When such a disc is played, a Picture-in-Picture mark (PIP Mark) and a Secondary Audio Program mark (SAP Mark) may be displayed on the screen to alert you to the availability of the secondary audio/video content. You should be able to disable that on your player. |

I'm having the same issue. I've disabled PIP in the player settings so now, rather than the icons remaining on throughout the entire movie, they just flash on and off at regular intervals. It's driving me nuts. Is there no way to permanently hide the icons? It's very distracting.

http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/t...Family=2797341 As Daemonia has mentioned, it might not be possible to completely get rid of the icons but it would atleast minimize the problem. You might also want to ensure you have the lastest firmware version installed. According to Toshiba's site some of the past firmware updates addressed OSD and Menu issues. Those updates may or may not address the issue you're having but it's worth the try. |
