Ordered: Critters

From what my DVD Profiler account tells me, the last DVD I bough was: Looney Tunes Super Stars, Daffy Duck: Frustrated Fowl. A beleaguered DVD release because of the aspect ration controversy. The few pre-1953 shorts are shown in 1:33, and the post-1953 are shown in 1:85, or the technical OAR of the animated shorts back then. It's odd to see them cropped, and badly distracts from certain gags. At least I only paid $3 for it, so the cartoons I want made it a good price point.

Duh, it's lying in front of me on my desk.

The last movie I WATCHED on DVD is "I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang". A quasi-autobiographical look at a man whose dreams of being an engineer after WWI are dashed by being the wrong man at the wrong place at the wrong time. I cannot recommend this film enough to anyone who not only enjoys great performances, but films that provoke thought about society at the time. Technically, that was WB's role in the film industry at the time, making films about cultural issues of the day.
