Been there , my first amp I ever had failed in the first week, I was not to happy. It worked out in the end, after the amp was serviced it was in use for over 8 years before I sold it.

Good for you! I'm glad both companies stepped up to the plate with your problem. There is no replacement for excellent customer service. |

small update: polk didn't actually ship the replacement parts the day they said they did, they shipped a couple days later (finally got an email with the tracking which indicated it wasn't picked up till 2 days later)
Emotiva is working on the amp and so far can find no problem which makes me rather nervous because I had 2 other people who could distinctly smell the burning smell coming from that amp :/ also my exploded tweeter and crossover seem to indicate there was a problem

Hey all, this is probably a question really only for those familiar with the LSi series but her it goes.
I am trying to trace what actually died on the crossover and I am using my multimeter in short/open so it just makes a tone if there is a connection. With one end of the multimeter In the negative speaker terminal I get a tone (indicating a connection) with the other end in +w -d2 -t moving the multimeter to the positive speaker terminal I get a tone only on -w I started tracing it and confirmed the resistor along the tweeter is dead but it doesn't explain the other weird readings, or does it? Hooked the multimeter up to each driver and the only one that doesn't give me a tone is the tweeter
