I'm not big on the 3D usually, but after watching the normal BD this weekend I can honestly say this is one I'm looking forward to seeing it in that format. It is what it is, a good popcorn movie. Not works of Shakespeare or historical accuracies. I had to remind my wife of this when she pointed out that no one wore white during that period at their weddings
Do you really have something to say or are you just in love with the sound of your keyboard?

The ending hints at a possible spin off/sequel where
[Show spoiler]they can use a new historical character. That would be interesting if they offer a new story in that sense.

Looking at the back of the disc, there are two "A" symbols with the world around the "A", for each of the blu ray discs, 2D and 3D. Good guess that refers to the region symbol, suggesting it's All regions. Usually it would be a "1", which means USA playback. They print things so tiny, most people need magnifying glasses I bet.

I went to 2 different places today and whilst they had the movie, they only had it in 2D.

Can anyone confirm we are gettting the 3D version here in Australia??

Very annoyed I am.

It's a shame they didn't use the ending of the book.

Glad they did not use it...else it would have been historically inaccurate.

Default awesome

I finally hunted a copy down and finished it tonight.Great 3D from the folks at stereo D, very impressed.

IMO it was right up there with Titanic. These conversions are getting really really good now.

Here ae some links on the process, great reads -

I'm sure I'll get completely land blasted for saying this, but I watched this movie for the first time tonight and also watched Lincoln a few nights ago. This movie was so much better than the snooze fest Lincoln is. I see why Speilbergs Lincoln was up for awards, but Vampire hunter was just a fun ride and they even kept some of the history in there. I'm so happy I saved my money and didn't go buy Lincoln, because I'm going out tomorrow and buying the 3D version of this. Maybe I'm just simple minded and needed to turn my brain off, but found a really good movie to do it with.

Vampire Hunter was a fantastic genre movie and very underrated imo. The 3d for me also was reference quality. Stereo D are geniuses!

They are indeed. I forgot they did this one as well!

We need a Stereo D appreciation thread (ALVH,Avengers,Titanic,Jurassic Park,Iron Man 3 and now Star Trek!)

Agreed so much. In fact, the entire story was radically different from the book, and not for the better. Book was much more thoroughly serious, while the movie tried to be serious while having comic book powers such as exploding a tree with a swing of an ax. Movie had no true identity. And honestly the ending of the film pissed me off because, IMO, it trivialized the whole thing by implying Henry could find any drunken idiot in a bar and train him to live the life Lincoln Lived.
