Also, as terrible as I thought the film was, it is the worldwide number 5 film at the box office, and Disney isn't going to ignore that moving forward.
Honesty I think Avengers 2 could be the perfect Iron Man swan song, we don't really need another RDJ vs. the world movie.

i think well see Iron man in Avengers 2 and 3.

ultron is part two and thanos is most likely part three with the infinity gems+guardians of the galaxy meshing with the arc.

It could be that the contrast and shadow detail performance of your display is letting you down. I can't say for certain though as I don't' know what your display is. One thing I can say for certain though is if it is dim it is not because it was shoot with digital cameras (I'm not sure if it was, point however is it isn't relevant). The complete silliness of that notion is beyond laughable.

[edit: I watched it and whilst it is dimmer then most films it is well within the norm of what one sees in films].

Not sure that'll happen. Around the time IM3 came out was a prime opportunity, but it didn't happen. It could still be released, but it's probably slim.

I do remember seeing a DVD box set of all three Iron Man movies in Sam's Club. However, a BD box set has not been released in the states.

By decent price drop I was hoping for something under $12 at the very least especially since I will be essentially rebuying the movie in a couple years

If you have kids (or are just a big Disney fan) you could always join the Disney Movie Club. They constantly have Buy One Get 50% off every other title you buy and various other deals. Since Disney films always tend to stay near SRP anyway you can make out pretty well. Definitely the cheapest way to acquire the Marvel or Studio Ghibli blu rays.

Actually, their deals aren't that great once you finish your initial membership. If you join whole-hog, the opening deal is great, even considering the $30+ you have to pay for the three movie purchases you owe. But after that, Amazon beats their prices regularly - and by a big-enough margin to make buying from them a better deal, especially after shipping vs. free shipping is factored in.

That is a very interesting theory. I certainly would explain a few things. I'd like to think that they are happening fairly concurrently myself.
[Show spoiler]SHIELD would certainly not be bothered with Stark's situation given that Hydra is on the verge of complete world domination via the instant and simultaneous execution of 20,000,000 inhabitants of the planet. Kinda makes me think that all possible resources at SHIELD's disposal are focused on the Hydra threat. Besides, SHIELD wouldn't know who to trust in bringing aid to Tony. If they sent a bunch of Hydra loyalists, they'd surely just kill tony in a moment of vulnerability.
I just think that everyone is in the middle of their own crisis at that same moment in the MCU.

By the way... 1 spoiler tag covering everything after "Iron Man 3 takes place after" would have been sufficient. I don't understand why you had to make me feel like I was playing a hand-eye coordination skillbuilding game.
HT EQUIPMENT: Sony Bravia KDL-52W3000, Onkyo 805, B&W M-1s & AS-2 Sub, 60GB PS3, Toshiba HD-A2

It depends. And DMC does offer free shipping with some of their offers. I'm VIP currently and do plan to cancel/reenroll sometime in the future, but I don't mind having access to the B2G1 free with free shipping offers in the meanwhile (which may be comparable to Amazon in terms of new releases but I don't have to pay tax with DMC like I have to do with Amazon in TX).

DMC has a 2 selected BDs for $30 sale going on right now, and I was able to combine it with the B2G1 free to get Muppets Most Wanted preordered for free with free shipping, $30 was my order total.

It depends on the deal they offer and what you are looking for. They switch back and forth between 50% off, 60% off, Buy 2 Get 1 Free with free shipping, etc. Right now they have 60% off with 1 purchase for VIPs or buy 2 get 1 free with free shipping. I picked up Cars and Cars 2 at $29.95 each and got Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind for free so the total came to $59.90 (or $19.97 each) At the prices that Amazon is charging for those three films today ($26.99 for Cars, $24.69 for Cars 2, and $25.99 for Nausicaa) I'd have been paying $77.67 before tax (7% here so it would be $83.11 total) Like I said, it's a good way to go if you're interested in the Marvel or Ghibli films because both are rarely on sale on Amazon (unless there is a Marvel movie out like right now)

But the settings of the movies make it so that there is no possible way for them to take place in the same TimeFrame.
Iron Man 3 is happening at Christmas Time.
The Winter Soldier is in the Summer.
The Dark World is in Late Winter/Early Spring.

It's the Clothes and the Trees that give it all away, except for Iron Man 3 with all of the Christmas Decorations everywhere...
